The Ibiza Pacha opened its doors in 1973, and over the years since has been remodelled and upgraded several times, to be the resplendent and aw-inspiring venue it is today. It is not only its fantastic location near to the harbour in Ibiza, that makes it one of the best clubs on the island, but also it's amazing line up of DJ's and spectacular interiors. The main reason that Pacha is so unique in Ibiza is the fact that it doesn't close for the winter season, unlike any of the other major clubs.
With a guest capacity of three thousand five hundred, Pacha is one of the largest clubs in Ibiza, with Sarah Main as the current resident DJ. There have of course been a lot of famous faces in the club throughout its long history including Axwell, Fedde Le Grande, and Steve Angello. You may remember that the club was filmed for scenes in the 2004 film 'It's all gone Pete Tong'.
There are five rooms at Pacha, all with a different style of music, but the club is most well known for its House Music. The sound system, light shows, dance floors, stages, dancers and performers are some of the best in the world. That could be why the Ibiza DJ Awards are held there every year! The club is also famous for being the subject of James Blunts song 1973, which has been remixed and used by Pete Tong during his Pacha sets.
Now with a fabulous selection of Pacha merchandise you can pretend you're still in the club, no matter where you are. Pick up the magazine, or just download it. Try on the fashion items including T-shirts and sunglasses, or get one of the many great Pacha CD's, and pretend your DJing.
You'll find plenty of variety in the nights on offer in the club. There's everything from Pure Pacha, to Subliminal Sessions, by way of F*** Me I'm Famous, Defected in the House, Flamingo nights, Swedish House Mafia, Flower Power, I love Miami, and Pacha Classics.
Resident DJ's this season include: Sander Kleinenberg, the winner of best European DJ in 2006, and regarded as one of the best in the world. Fedde Le Grande, you may remember from 'Put your hands up for Detroit'. Sebastian Gamboa, the native of Ibiza, with a whole host of awards to his name. Sarah Main, the first Lady of Australian dance music. Steve Angello, who gets his freak on remixing the likes of Royksopp and Moby. Angel Linde, whose work is as diverse as it is deep. Frankie Knuckles, known as the Godfather of House. David Morales, who has mixed the work of Janet Jackson, Seal, Jamiroquai, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Eric Clapton. Faithless All Star DJ's, featuring Sister Bliss and Rollo Amstrong. The Shapeshifters, Simon Marlin and Max Reich, who like to party.
